Thatcher Freed after Admitting Helping Coup Plot

Sir Mark Thatcher was free to leave South Africa today after admitting he unwittingly helped finance a failed coup plot in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea.

He was fined £265,000 and given a suspended five year prison sentence.
