Uma carta cheia de 'poesia', para iniciar o novo ano!

Dear Friends

I have just seen sun to set down for the last time in 2003, in Beira, Mozambique. Couple of hours later new year will start here. It is a coincidence that in last four years I have celebrated New Year eve in four different continents. All these places are different with different languages, different religions, and different style of governments and different levels of wealth or poverty. But in all these different places there is striking similarity among people. Even genome scientists now tell us that we are so similar that different races means nothing in genetic landscape.

But it is amazing that with this similarity we have been able to nurture so much hate against each other. May be we need to take a lesson from children. May be if we decide to act like kids for a day or two, this world could be a better place to live.

As we are experiencing a power outage now (quite frequent here) and my computer batteries don’t last long so today I will stop here with some pictures of kids.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year
